Château Pomiès Agassac Haut-Medoc 1997
Grape : 60% Merlot / 33% Cabernet Sauvignon / 7% Cabernet Franc
Pairing : Beef, Lamb, Poultry
Alcohol : 12%
Château Pomiès Agassac is the perfect reflection of the terroir of sandy gravels where the human hand has simply chosen to accompany its expression without forcing the nature or the character of the wines. The wine reveals a great flexibility, fruity and balanced, easy to taste in its youth while being from a medocain blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
EYE: Wine of a beautiful garnet red color with purple hues. It presents a beautiful intensity with a lot of brilliance.
FIRST NOSE: The nose, marked by aromas of candied red fruits and sweet spices, is supported by a fresh set evoking a heather moor. (We can smell humus).
AT AERATION: At aeration the wine is more concentrated and lets appear a nose of roasted herbs, supported by a delicate touch and menthol reminiscent of incense. This delicate nose after oxygenation evolves on aromas of black and ripe fruits (blackberries, blueberries)
THE PALATE: The ample and velvety mouth gives us a sweet and tasty tannic structure. The soft tannins on the attack, give a glimpse of a beautiful light woody material reinforcing the overall gourmet harmony.
